30 artists have been selected for the 14th African Biennal of Photography that will be held from November 16, 2024 to January 15, 2025 in Bamako.
On 17th July, the curatorial team of the 14th edition of the Recontres de Bamako announced the selection of the 30 artists who will take part in La Panafricaine – the group exhibition of the African Biennal of Photography that will be held from November 16, 2024 to January 15, 2025 in Bamako, Mali.
Artistic director Lassana Igo Diarra (Mali) invited Nadine Hounkpatin (Benin), Manthia Diawara (Mali), Soufiane Er-Rahoui (Maroc), Oyindamola (Fakeye) Faithfull (Nigeria), and Patrick Mudekereza (RDC) to join his curatorial team and shared the following statement: « This year, the impressive number of applications received from all over the world testifies to the exceptional creative vitality of the African continent and beyond. This once again confirms the central role of Rencontres de Bamako as the leading photography event in Africa and on the international scene. »
