Highly regarded for her work with leading institutions coast to coast, Danielle A. Jackson comes to Artists Space from The Museum of Modern Art, where she has served since 2018 as Curatorial Assistant in the Department of Media and Performance.

An outstanding new voice in the field, Jackson served as Curatorial Assistant in the Department of Media and Performance at The Museum of Modern Art, where she worked on the acclaimed exhibition member: Pope.L, 1978–2001 and the forthcoming multimedia installation Adam Pendleton: Who Is Queen?. Before joining MoMA, she served as the Mellon Interdisciplinary Arts Fellow at the Walker Art Center, Minneapolis where she co-edited the dynamic online publication Living Collections Catalogue Volume IV: Creative Black Music and worked on the exhibition Jason Moran. As the 2015-2016 Friends of Education Twelve Month Fellow in the Department of Media and Performance Art at The Museum of Modern Art, she worked on the exhibition Projects 102: Neïl Beloufa (2016) and the publication Modern Dance: Ralph Lemon (2016). Before that, she worked with SFMOMA and Yerba Buena Center for the Arts on the exhibitions Public Intimacy: Art and Other Ordinary Acts in South Africa (2014), Collaborative Intervention: Chimurenga Library (2014), Radical Presence: Black Performance in Contemporary Art (2015), among others.
