The call for entries to the Contemporary African Photography Prize is open until 7 February 2018. Enter your work that engages with the African continent or its diaspora now and win a series of large scale outdoor exhibitions around the globe.

25 international curators, publishers, editors and artists will review your work. 25 artists will be shortlisted and five short listed artists awarded with the  CAP Prize 2018.

The CAP Prize – formerly called POPCAP piclet.org Prize Africa – is awarded annually since 2012 to photographic portfolios that engage with the African continent or its diaspora. The Prize consists of global exposure at major international photography exhibitions including Image Afrique in Basel, Switzerland, at LagosPhoto Festival in Nigeria, FIFCV Festival Internacional de Fotografia de Cabo Verde or Eyes On – European Month of Photography in Vienna. CAP Prize always invites all winning artists to the main exhibition Image Afrique, which is held during Art Basel in Basel, Switzerland. All winners are and their respective portfolios are featured in the CAP Prize as well as in the piclet.org directory for hand-picked photographers’ portfolios.
