Art15 takes place from 20 May (Preview day) until 23 May 2015, and continues to build on the success of bringing together leading galleries, curators and collectors from across the world. Art15 presents established and emerging galleries from all corners of the globe, from Berlin to Beirut, Hong Kong to Havana, and London to Lagos.

Art15 will offer different sections. In addition to the main section of established modern and contemporary galleries, Art15 remains strongly committed to emerging artists and younger galleries from across the globe. To complement the range of painting and sculpture on show the fait will also be highlighting the importance of mediums such as prints and editions as well as photography and new media art. The fair is supported by an extensive public programme, including Art15 Talks, Art15 Projects and Art15 Performances.

The Global Art World: Who is Collecting What?

Art15, London’s global art fair, sponsored by Citi Private Bank, begins its 2015 programme with a breakfast panel discussion entitled The Global Art World: Who is Collecting What? on Friday 23 January, 9.30am at Delfina Foundation.
Chaired by Philip Dodd, the discussion will include members of Art15’s Selection Committee from diverse public institutions in South Korea, the USA, and UK. The event is hosted at Delfina Foundation as part of their ongoing partnership with Art15.

Speakers are as follows:

Tim Marlow, Director of Artistic Programmes, Royal Academy of Arts, London
Tim Marlow is a former Director of Exhibitions at White Cube and joined the Royal Academy of Arts in 2014. He has worked as a critic and broadcaster for more than 20 years.

Sunhee Kim, Director and Curator, Daegu Art Museum, South Korea
Before her role at Daegu Art Museum, a major municipal art museum in South Korea, Sunhee Kim held positions as Chief Curator of the Gwangju Art Museum, Exhibitions Director of Gwangju Biennale and Senior Curator at Tokyo’s Mori Art Museum.

Christopher Phillips, Curator, the International Center of Photography, New York
Over the past 14 years as curator at the International Center of Photography in New York City, Christopher Phillips has curated numerous exhibitions exploring contemporary Asian photography. Previously he was Senior Editor at Art in America magazine.

Jonathan Watkins, Director, Ikon, Birmingham
Jonathan Watkins is Curator for Art15’s Emerge, the section for galleries less than seven years old from emerging art scenes around the world. Previous to his position at Ikon, Jonathan Watkins was the Director of Chisenhale Gallery and a Curator at the Serpentine Gallery.

The panellists will discuss the shifting dynamics of collecting contemporary art globally, with a Q & A following the discussion. Art15’s new Fair Director, Kate Bryan, will be present.
