Find Out Why Black Twitter Is Going Mad Over Black Mirror

Black Mirror's latest episode Black Museum is a fitting analogy for how Black pain is represented. And Black Twitter has some things to say about it.

The latest episode of sci-fi cult Netflix show Black Mirror is stirring Black Twitter like never before. Titled Black Museum the episode features main character Nish (played by Letitia Wright from Black Panther) avenge the torture of her father and destroy an institution which is called a museum. Though in fact this research center, which is owned by a white man, likens more to a theme park that displays black pain for mostly white visitors’ enjoyment. Of course nowhere was this more fiercely debated than in Black Twitter. Tweets range from comments praising Charlie Brooker’s sick genius like Rachael Brandon’s‏ @theycallmecarmn: “Damn, #BlackMuseum @blackmirror was savage AF!” to more critical pointing out that black pain should belong to Black people only. Controversies aside what’s clear is that this analogy hits the nail on the head when it comes to institutions, or does it? Watch the episode and tell us what you think on Facebook and Instagram.
