Harlan Levey Projects, Brussels, Belgium
18 Oct 2013 - 03 Nov 2013
The exhibition Ermias Kifleyesus: MATERIALS explores the artists interest in using found objects and prompted situations that are associated with rigorous and process-oriented practices in Conceptual art, carrying a romantic symbolism of independent work through collaborative means.
MATERIALS also looks at how the artist has established his particular style of engaging with cities through tensions between man and environment. The selection of works for the exhibition will highlight key conceptual and material strategies employed by Kifleyesus. Drawings, video, installation and archival materials make up the presentation at Harvey Levey Projects. The artist will produce an on-site drawing transfer , as well as new works. This is the first solo exhibition of the artist. The exhibition runs through 9 November 2013. Harlan Levey Projects is open Thursday through Sunday; 13:00 – 19:00 and by appointment.
Opening: Friday, 18 October 2013 18h30 til 21h30
