C& talks to the newly appointed curatorial team for the upcoming Dak’Art 2014: Elise Atangana, Abdelkader Damani and Ugochukwu-Smooth C. Nzewi. The curators discuss their ideas and challenges for the 11th edition of the continent’s major biennale of contemporary art.

Our author Danniella Rose King analyzes the visual vocabulary and landscapes of Ibrahim El-Salahi as she contextualizes the artist’s first major retrospective at the Tate Modern, Ibrahim El-Salahi: A Visionary Modernist.

Dak’Art 2014 curator Ugochukwu-Smooth C. Nzewi met with the sound artist Emeka Ogboh to discuss Lagos’ pervasive resonance and Ogboh’s unique response to this.
