With a booth at this year's ARCOlisboa, C& and C&AL present their print versions from 16 to 19 May to the fair visitors in Portugal's capital.
C&AL is thrilled to be present with a booth in the media and magazine section at this year’s ARCOlisboa fair in Lisbon to present the print versions of C& and C& AL. The print issues are being launched twice a year always alongside a global art event, from the Dakar Biennale to the documenta or the São Paulo Biennale.
The fair presents a careful selection of galleries in the main section, which investigates Portuguese art and its connections with the international scene. In addition to this will be projects by artists, a special area dedicated to the publication of books by artists directed by Arts Librisa and for the first time an area featuring large sculptures outside the Cordoaria Nacional.
One of the most exciting new aspects of this year’s edition of the fair will be Africa in Focus, a selection of galleries from Africa. Taking as its starting point Portugal’s position at the crossroads of Africa and Europe, Africa in Focus will include 6 galleries from Angola, Uganda, Mozambique and South Africa, with individual stands interspersed throughout the fair. Curated by Paula Nascimento, Africa in Focus will also feature a series of talks around the most up-to-date contemporary art in Africa, with the participation of figures such as Raphael Chickwkwa and Azu Ngagbogu.
