White River Gallery (WRG) is located in a particularly verdant part of South Africa that includes large scale tree plantations. This area is subject to de-forestation due to the increasing need for monoculture, thus affecting the dynamic and divergent ecosystems.
The White River Gallery is one of the few visual arts platforms in the Lowveld, presenting predominantly contemporary fine art originating in Nelspruit, White River and surrounds. In addition, the gallery showcases conceptual work by broader South African artists. Their aspiration is to promote awareness of excellence in art and artistic practice relevant to emerging and established artists, allowing the audiences a transformative experience through engagement with art.
