Yinka Shonibare MBE* est né en 1962 à Londres où il vit et travaille toujours. Il a étudié à la Byam Shaw School of Art (1984–1989) et au Goldsmiths College (1989–1991) de Londres. Il a été nominé pour le prix Turner de la Tate Britain en 2004.
