The 10th edition of NDW festival will be taking place in March 8th to 16th March 2025 under the theme We Are The Ancestors. This theme invites participants to consider the legacies they create and their impact on future generations. It is a call to action for all designers, creatives, and artists, to contribute to a narrative that transcends time. NDW aims to promote a narrative that emphasizes sustainable and responsible design as a source of inspiration and a foundation for the future.

About Nairobi Design Week

Since 2015, Nairobi Design Week has been a cornerstone of the design calendar, attracting thousands of visitors annually. This vibrant community has helped establish Nairobi as a global design city, continuing to showcase exceptional and unconventional design experiences. The NDW 2024 edition attracted: 400+ Participants, 4500+ Attendees, 400,000+ Online reach

NDW honors diverse design methodologies and celebrates the past, present, and future of design.

Digital Exhibitor Call

Are you a designer, filmmaker, business or artist looking to showcase your digital work at our festival? Nairobi Design Week invites you to join as a Digital Exhibitor and share your creations with a vibrant, design-driven audience.

This is a fantastic opportunity to present your creative projects to a broad audience, both locally and globally with round the clock regular screen time throughout the 9 days depending on the package you choose. Apply with your concept to secure a spot to be considered.

Key Dates
Festival Dates: Saturday 8th March to Sunday 16th March 2025.

Application Deadline: December 11th 2024

Final Submission Deadline: 31st of January 2025 (submit your final works for screening)

Final submissions guidance:

Still Images:

  • Submit maximum 10 still pieces
  • Minimum HD (1920×1080)
  • Ideally 4k

Moving Images:

  • Minimum HD (1920×1080)
  • Ideally 4k

Intellectual Property

You should hold the right licenses for any copyrighted materials used.

There are limited spaces available, applications may be closed early if the maximum number of exhibitors is reached.

Digital Showcasing Options
Digital Exhibitor

Best for individual designers & artists.

1 minute of your work looped every 9 minutes on a shared screen, your work appears every 9 minutes. KSH 6000 (you can rent a full screen with us for 9 days, please enquire under this option).

What Digital Exhibitors Get

  • Opportunity to present your work on stage for during the Digital Exhibitors Event, with your work shown on the big screen as you speak.
  • Your work on a screen in the Digital Exhibitors Gallery.
  • Your name listed on an information board by the digital exhibit.
  • Your name and contact in the lower thirds over your work on screen.
  • Your name and contact details linked from the Nairobi Design website.

Digital Screening

Best for short and long films, shown on the main stage.

Main screen time: 30mins – KSH12,000

Main screen time: 60 min- KSH 24,000

Main screen time: 90 mins- KSH 36,000

What Digital Screening Get

  • A slot on the festival schedule to screen your work on the main stage.
  • Opportunity to present on stage before your screening.
  • Digital Promotion of your screening on the social media pages and a blog post on the website.
  • Your name/project linked from the Nairobi Design Week website.

Please note this form is only for digital exhibitors. There are separate open calls for physical exhibitors, content creators and crew. Apply with what you have to secure a spot to be considered. You will have until 31st of January 2025 to submit your final pieces.
