Headlands Center for the Arts, Marin Headlands, United States
Deadline: 26 June 2020
Residency opportunity for artists worldwide, working across all disciplines.
Headlands Center for the Arts is a multidisciplinary, international arts center located in the Marin Headlands, part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Headlands’ Artists Programs provide opportunities for research, experimentation, professional development, and peer-to-peer exchange for artists working across disciplines at critical times in their careers. Unique among programs for artists, Headlands’ dynamic residency program provides meaningful resources—time, space, community, and financial support—to artists who are working on the cutting edge of their field to catalyze new modes of thought, work, and discourse. By bringing together artists from a wide range of disciplines, Headlands’ programs emphasize a balance in developing an individual practice, a valuable exchange with other artists and visitors, and a meaningful engagement with place.
Headlands Center for the Arts is an equal opportunity institution that believes an equitable and diverse artist cohort is essential to their community. They welcome all applicants.
Artists and cultural workers have been particularly impacted by efforts to slow the spread of COVID-19. With this in mind, Headlands Center for the Arts has extended their application deadlines and further reduced the early application fee. Despite current disruptions, Headlands Center fully intend their 2021 programs to take place as planned, and look forward to welcoming their 2021 cohort.
