The collective THE RED EYE is named at the artistic direction of the Circulation(s) festival 2019. The aim of the Circulation(s) festival has been the promotion young European photography and its artists for 8 years. In order to go further in the goal of discovery, the festival team launched a call for application last July to find its new artistic direction.

A jury composed of the artistic committee and the team of the association Fetart, in charge of organisation of the festival, and also Héloïse Conesa, curator in charge of contemporary photography at the BNF, Marion Hislen, Founder of the festival, and José-Manuel Gonçalvès, Director of CENTQUATRE-PARIS, have selected the collective The Red Eye for lead this new adventure.

The head of the collective is composed of Audrey Hoareau and François Cheval. The aim of The Red Eye is to promote photography in all its forms through events or collaborations in France and abroad.
The collective wants to perpetuate and defend the ambitious spirit of the Circulation(s) festival with the team, the volunteers and the artists of Fetart, while proposing a new impact through:

– strong artistic convictions and a new approach of young European photography, – a singular scenography,
– a dialogue between different artistic and photography media,
– a committed vision in a troubled Europe.

Circulation(s), festival of young European photography will be held for its 9th edition at CENTQUATRE-PARIS from 13th April 2019.

The call for application of the Circulation(s) festival is extended until Septembre 30th, midnight (Paris time)

The call for application is open to all European photographers or photographers living in Europe without any age limit.

The application cost is €25.

The displayed photographers will be selected by a jury which will meet at the end of October 2018.
