Northern Media Culture Association Magneetti invites artists to submit works for the media art exhibition IMPORT/EXPORT, which will take place in Tornio, Finland and Haparanda, Sweden 15th -29th November 2013.

IMPORT / EXPORT will focus on the many forms of borders and the varied methods of crossing them.

We are searching for artworks with strong concepts that explore ideas such as the transfer of people, objects or immaterial products (like culture, ideas, emotion) across countries and borders or between individuals. Borders can be thought as borders between communities, states, cultures or people.

The works chosen will be exhibited in the twin town / border towns of Tornio and Haparanda during the darkest time of the year in various public locations around the area.
