1-54 will hold its seventh edition of the New York fair online from 17 – 23 May 2021, with a VIP Preview 17 – 18 May.
Following the success of London and Paris, 1-54 continues the partnership with Christie’s to create and host a globally accessible online platform. Each virtual booth will feature works from each gallery, offer 360° viewing rooms, as well as provide a spotlight series on individual artists.

1-54 also presents Knotted Ties, a curated selection of works from artists who use textiles in their practice.
Drawing together the works of female artists using textiles, Knotted Ties contemplates the pluralism of the medium as well as narratives portrayed and expressed through fabric and thread. The exhibited works illustrate both the power and strength of textile work and its capacity to convey humanity’s entangled histories, challenging social landscapes, and complex realities. These works instigate debate while also offering the idea of mediative resolve through resilience, reminding us of the importance of community nurturing and constructive dialogue as we create futures through uncertain times.
Knotted Ties is free to visit and is open to the public 15 – 26 May 2021 at Christie’s Rockefeller Plaza, New York. All works exhibited can be viewed and acquired on 1-54 Online, powered by Christie’s.
