Werkstatt der Kulturen, Berlin, Germany
05 Jun 2012 - 06 Jun 2012
The last years have seen the establishment of an ever-growing transnational network of African artists and curators, who proactively founded and run art spaces in their hometowns. The symposium sheds a light on the role of these initiatives with regard to their influence on social transformations as well as the challenges of cultural translation processes that the actors encounter.
