Well-known artists from Douala and Yaoundé, Cameroon have been invited to Stuttgart. Conceptions of poetry from the global South encounter different conceptions from the global North. Across languages and cultures a space opens up for experimental forms of photography, film, performance, slam, poetry, and music.
The research project “Über die Grenze der Zweifel – Passer la frontière des doutes” will be presented together with the project “Der Dancefloor der neuen Welt – Le dancefloor du nouveau monde” (The Dance Floor of the New World) in Germany and Cameroon in 2014.

Astrid S. Klein has been implementing long-term art projects with artists from different disciplines from the global North and South, in Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa, on the basis of friendship and dialogue, since 2005. Among her areas of interest are the reinvention of the self in urban space, the place of the imaginary in contemporary market-driven societies, the space of artistic action, and the collective creation of wild, non-academic knowledge.
