Applications are now open to join Somerset House Studios, an experimental workspace at Somerset House home to a community of 100 resident artists, makers and thinkers.
Somerset House Studios in the centre of London is connecting artists, makers and thinkers with audiences. The Studios offer space and support to artists pushing bold ideas, engaging with urgent issues and pioneering new technologies. It is also a platform for the development of new creative projects and collaborations. Up to 100 artists are resident at any one time and are supported to develop their practice for a defined period.
Studio spaces will be available to occupy from 01 October/ November 2019
Who is Eligible
Somerset House Studios is devised for artists who are pushing bold ideas, engaging with urgent issues, pioneering new technologies, and are fully committed to exploring the potential afforded by making work within a highly selective multi-disciplinary community that feeds a public programme. Applications are welcome across all disciplines including but not limited to visual art, music and composition, performance, dance and live art, fiction and non-fiction writers, fashion, film and those working at the intersection of art and technology. The overall balance of artists is an important factor in selecting new residents.
