School4Tomorrow is a Fellowship-Program introduced by Diversity Arts Culture for artists of color.
Between 9–11 October 2019 School4Tomorrow is offering space to professionalize, to network, to engage with and learn from experienced cultural producers. The program will be extended by a classic empowerment workshop on 4 October 2019 and a career coaching on 17 October 2019.
From 9 – 13 October 2019 the Sophiensaele is hosting the Performance Festival AFTER EUROPE focusing on artistic trends of decolonization. School4Tomorrow is tying in with the Festivals’ content by questioning how the cultural sector of tomorrow could look like. As part of the festival the fellowship-program is sectioned into two parts: in the afternoon there will be workshops with performers of the festival as well as space for networking and peer-to- peer advising sessions, in the evening there will be free access to the performances of the festival.
CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION & APPLICATION
The call for School4Tomorrow is open for participants from all directions. It is targeting artists, who experienced racism in the cultural section and have their focus of activity in Berlin.
We are especially considering applications of people who are facing mutiple discrimination and accomplished a part of their training in Germany. Please apply only if you are able to attend all dates. The participation is free from any charges. The events will be held in German, as well as in English spoken language. As may be necessary we organize translation into German respectively into English.
