Renowned and popular Kenyan artist, Michael Soi is holding a solo show of his portraits at the Circle Art Gallery, August 12 – 24, 2015 with an opening preview on 12th from 6pm

Born in 1972, Soi studied at the Creative Arts Centre and joined Kuona Trust Centre for Visuals arts in 1995. Considered controversial by some, Soi’s notorious paintings showing the ‘Circus of Life’ of his home town Nairobi, have become known worldwide.  As one of Kenya’s most famous artistic social commentators he is not afraid to depict issues of corruption, prostitution, hypocrisy, big business and the economy which is getting his work talked about in international art circles.
