Contemporary And (C&) is an art magazine and a dynamic space for issues and information on contemporary art from Africa and its Global Diaspora.

Our editorial office in Berlin is currently seeking a new intern!

This is a great opportunity to learn about the intersection between contemporary art, art criticism and editorial processes, and to be part of a rapidly growing cultural platform.

what awaits you:

• Researching content and topics relevant to our editorial trajectory
• Conducting interviews with artists and cultural producers
• Writing reviews on art events and exhibitions
• Interacting with our community
• Editorial support of our social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)
• Supporting the production of a new print issue
• Assisting with day-to-day administration tasks and office organisation
• Opportunity to contribute to our magazine after the internship

what is expected of you:

• Profound knowledge of the website’s editorial content
• Interest in editorial processes
• Motivation and team spirit
• FLEXIBILITY and an independent work approach
• Knowledge of WordPress and Photoshop are an advantage
• Creativity and proficient use of the English language, both orally and in writing
• good or at least basic knowledge of German, French is an advantage
• Ideally based in Berlin ( to be at least once a week at our office)

Duration of the internship:

• Begins 1 March 2020
• minimum 3 months,8 hours per week
• Expense allowance: 100 €/month
