This year, ARTBO will present a selection of 70 galleries from 20 countries and the participation of 8 curators in charge of the sections Proyectos, Referentes, Artecámara, Foro, Articularte and Libro de Artista from October 25 to 28, 2018. The unique model of the Fair includes commercial sections focused on the quality and diversity of its proposals and sections that offer spaces dedicated to audience engagement, the discussion around contemporary art and platforms to promote local talent.

Galleries
The Fair presents 70 modern and contemporary galleries from 20 countries from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Peru, Portugal, Republica Dominicana, Rumania, Spain, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay and Venezuela. The Principal section presents a careful selection that balances leading, emerging and cutting-edge galleries. This edition includes the category 21m², which offers a platform for emerging galleries of no more than 6 years to take part in the fair.

Proyectos
The proposal Thoughts Become Things will present 14 projects by contemporary artists who explore art as a vehicle that allows the physical formalization of ideas and experiences that preexist language. Curated by Emiliano Valdés, this year Proyectos brings together works that show a strong orientation towards color, abstraction, form and that evidence art as an intuitive process.

Referentes
This exhibition explores works of art that shifted paradigms and shaped history, becoming referents for contemporary art. The pieces selected in this commercial exhibition are from the archives of the participating galleries. Dialogues in Time, curated by Pilar Tompkins, explores the aesthetic problems of art movements from the 20th century and its connections with feminist and queer art, questions on gender and intergenerational legacies on the works of emerging artists.

Sitio
features works intended to stimulate visitor’s perception through the installation of works that transcend the traditional formats of exhibition, generating dialogue with visitors of the fair. This year the section will showcase works by Miler Lagos (Bogota, Colombia)—Max Estrella (Madrid, Spain); Carlos Cruz-Diez (Caracas, Venezuela)—Galería RGR+ART (Mexico City, Mexico); Silvia Rivas (Buenos Aires, Argentina)—Rolf Art (Buenos Aires, Argentina); Carmen Argote (Mexico City, Mexico)—Instituto de Visión (Bogota, Colombia); Clemencia Echeverri (Salamina, Colombia)—Galeria Eduardo Fernandes (São Paulo, Brazil); and Angélica Teuta (Medellin, Colombia)—Casas Reigner (Bogota, Colombia).

Foro
This is a space of the fair dedicated to the discussion of topics related to contemporary art for collectors, professionals and artists. This edition, Foro will present 14 talks of 47 panelists. Titled The Lot / The plot and curated by Sara Hermann.

Artecámara
This exhibition shows the work of emerging Colombian artists with no commercial representation. As a result of a national open call, 34 proposals were selected, involving a total of 50 artists, among them, independent spaces and artist collectives. The curatorial premise by Carolina Ponce de León titled I have everything; I have nothing will examine the inquiries of an entire generation shaped by the use of the Internet and social media.

Libro de Artista
This section brings together different publishing houses that work the book as an artistic object with the purpose of promoting artistic research, creation and experimentation. Curated by the editorial project and library NADA, this year, the curatorial premise focuses on the concept of the archive and will include an exhibition called Collecting Images, Displaying Connections. 24 editorial projects from around the world will participate.

Articularte
This section offers a space for experimentation and collective production, created to bring and generate awareness of contemporary art practices and bring them closer to the general audience. In the project Artistic Bank of Experimental Knowledge, the public is empowered to understand the valuation systems, production, circulation and consumption of art. A symbolic production environment is simulated, and the visitors have the opportunity to interact at different workstations. Curated by Gabriel Zea and María Adelaida Samper.
