ART14 London / Olympia Grand Hall, London, United Kingdom 28 Feb 2014 - 02 Mar 2014
Art14 London is the second edition of the new art fair in London. It has a global focus and will include international galleries from around the world, from Osaka to Havana and from Addis Ababa to St. Petersburg.
Taking place at Olympia Grand Hall, in the very heart of West London, the Fair will bring to the city a diverse range of artists, galleries, talks and events, in an environment tailored to captivate new audiences and open up the art world.
Art14 London will offer a dynamic and ambitious programme of projects, lectures and educational programmes. A newly curated section of the Fair entitled ‘Emerge’ will focus on galleries that are under seven years old.
In addition, London First will showcase galleries who are under five years old and who have not previously participated at an art fair in London. These two specially selected sections will provide a spotlight for new talent as well as a starting point for visitors who wish to discover new work from all around the world. A focus on photography and prints & editions will provide an accessible and affordable option for the novice collector to start their art collection.
Integrated within the Fair will be the Art14 Projects, a diverse line up of captivating installations by artists from Asia, the Middle East and Africa as well as the West. The mainly large-scale projects will be embedded into the fabric of the Fair, ensuring unexpected and surprising encounters.
Furthermore, Art14 Performances will draw people into the still widely undiscovered world of live performance art, as well as showcasing documentary screenings of archive material.
A programme of public talks will offer visitors the opportunity to learn about art and the art world. A series of discussions and events in West London also opens up the debate surrounding art’s significance as a catalyst for urban development and regeneration.
