LKB/G is a young contemporary art gallery in Hamburg (Germany) focusing on underrepresented positions especially from the Global South with special attention on Africa and Latin America.
Since 2017, the gallery establishes an unconventional gallery concept and thus creates a unique platform for creative minds and artists. We are particularly dedicated to this side of the art market and form an innovative stage for contemporary art at eye level.
LKB/G exhibits carefully selected and curated contemporary art and manages a dynamic programme of exhibitions and curatorial projects. These focus on contemporary artistic discourses, while facilitating collaborative projects with local and international partners, institutions and artists. We regularly present exhibitions and projects that offer a critical evaluation within a global dialogue. We believe in art as a profound and competent media for social and political discourse. The gallery aspires to serve as a platform for art that interacts with the surrounding society. We create a venue for dialogue, bridge building between cultures and widen up the perspective for new impressions.
