On October 7th King Mohammed VI, accompanied by Prince Moulay Ismail, inaugurated the Mohammed VI Museum for Modern and Contemporary Art in Rabat, Morocco.
The new Museum is dedicated entirely to modern and contemporary art and aims to cover the evolution of Moroccan artistic creation from the beginning of the 20th century until today. The three-floor facility will provide space and infrastructure for a permanent collection and temporary exhibitions, an auditorium, art & multimedia libraries, a pedagogical workshop, a laboratory for art restoration, a VIP lounge and more.
On the occasion of its opening the Mohammed VI Museum for Modern and Contemporary Art will host an inaugural exhibition entitled “1914-2014: a century of creation” about Morocco’s artistic evolution.
