DADDY is looking for an Assistant Editor for the “Black Joy” section of their upcoming JOY Issue. In this section, they want to highlight “Black Joy” as a force for healing, an act of resistance, and a celebration of culture. You will play a vital role in curating contributions and driving the editorial review process of this special issue.

→ Strong interest in and knowledge of Black culture
→ Knowledge of intersectional discourses and queer culture
→ A person with a network in the Global South and North
→ Strong writing, editing, and communication skills

DADDY is a self-funded, independent publication. This is a freelance position that allows you to work remotely and manage your own time. During peak times, we’ll have weekly meetings and expect a commitment of 2-3 hours per week. The flat fee for this role is 500 Euros.
