The October Gallery is an art gallery in the heart of London which has been exhibiting the works of contemporary artists from a wide range of cultures for over thirty years.

Under the leadership of Chili Hawes, one of its founders, the gallery supports the transvangarde, promotes contemporary art from around the world, and is a cultural hub for poets, writers, intellectuals and visual artists from Africa, Asia, the Middle East, South America, and elsewhere.

Founded in 1979, the gallery is set up as a charitable trust and finances its activities by sales of art, rental of its facilities, grants from various funding bodies, and the active support of an international network of friends and sponsors. In addition to a wide-ranging program of exhibitions, performances, seminars, and artist talks, the gallery operates a multifaceted education program for children and young people.
