Africa Prime Initiative & StArt Art Gallery

The Africa Prime Initiative (API), the philanthropic arm of US-based video streaming platform Africa Prime, has joined forces with StArt Art Gallery to launch its first ever grants for African artists. Five Namibian artists will be awarded up to US$2,000 each to pursue projects across the spectrum of visual arts.
Online applications are now open and being received by StArt Art Gallery. Africa Prime’s mission is to give a voice to African talent and help authentic African voices take control of the continent’s international narrative. The grants will help artists to develop their skills and create new works of art that will be featured in new video programming for Africa Prime’s streaming service in North America. Applications will close on 23 June 2022.
