Vigo represents emerging and established international artists, curating shows in both the public and private arenas.
The gallery advises several residencies and enjoys good relations with many museums and foundations from the Tate to the British Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Saatchi Gallery. Vigo Gallery sources important works for the Levett Collection (Christian Levett) and often helps to place them on loan. Recent acquisitions include Ai Wei Wei’s Iron Tree, which it loaned to Yorkshire Sculpture Park for seven years and which formed the nucleus of his show there. The gallery has placed approximately fifteen works by its artists in national museums over the past two years as well as a similar number in private museums.
Notable shows at the gallery include Ibrahim El Salahi’s The Tree, Gavin Turk’s En Face, Leonardo Drew’s eponymous exhibitions, Boyle Family’s World Series, Marcus Harvey’s Tattoo, Kadar Brock’s Unburial Rites and Nika Neelova’s Fragments Shored Against the Ruins.
