IX Ibero-American Biennial of Graphic Work „Ciudad de Cáceres”

Object of the Call

The Hon. Cáceres City Council announces the IX Ibero-American Biennial of Graphic Work "Ciudad de Cáceres" 2021, which aims to encourage and support artistic creation, committed to the promotion and dissemination of cultural activity.

Recipients

All Spanish artists and artists from the international community, who are of legal age at the end of this call and who are up to date with payments with the Social Security, the State Treasury and the Cáceres City Council, may attend.

Form of Presentation

The artists will present up to a maximum of two unpublished and original works. Those that exceed one year of antiquity in the elaboration, nor the copies and the anonymous ones will not be admitted. Those that have participated in previous contests or those that have been published will not be accepted either. The theme and the trend is left to the judgment of the participants.

The works submitted to this call will be made using any of the multiple printed image generation procedures: engraving, screen printing, additive, electrographic, digital techniques, etc. All graphic art techniques, alone or in combination, will be admitted.

Awards

The Award has a total endowment of € 9,000.00, which will be financed from budget application number 13 334 481 (Awards) for the financial year 2021.

The following prizes will be awarded:

A first prize of 6,000 euros;

A second prize of 3,000 euros.

The awards will be decided, at least, by a simple majority of the jury's votes, which will take into account the quality of the works presented. The prizes may be declared void by the Jury when, in the opinion of its members, it is deemed appropriate. Its ruling will be final.

The jury's decision will be announced at an awards ceremony and inauguration of the exhibition of the works selected for the sample.

The winning works will become part of the artistic heritage of the Cáceres City Council.
