ART X Lagos 2020 Will Be Postponed - Contemporary And

The fifth edition of ART X Lagos was supposed to take place from 6-8 November 2020. In light of the recent protests against police brutality, the international art fair will be rescheduled.

The Team of ART X Lagos announced today, that the upcoming edition of 2020 will be postponed to an unknown date. In light of the recent protests in Nigeria against police brutality, it is a symbol of respect and solidarity for the ones who left their lives.

“We have watched with deep sadness the heartbreaking events of the past week, including the violence perpetrated against peaceful protesters in Lagos and across other parts of the country.”

ART X Lagos was created in 2016 by Tokini Peterside, a Nigerian entrepreneur, to showcase and support contemporary art from Africa and its diaspora. It draws local patrons and a host of international collectors, curators, and critics annually.

More information will be shared soon.
