Ndinomholo Ndilula performs »mASCUliN(I)TY » at the Sister Namibia garden in Windhoek, Namibia on 15 November at 3PM.
StArt Art Gallery shares with you their collaboration with Sister Namibia as part of their ongoing Artist Activation Project. This project aims to engage Namibian artists around issues of feminism and other topics relevant locally and worldwide.
The next in this series of artist activations is by local actor, voice & performance artist and dramaturg, Ndinomholo Ndilula. According to the artist, Ndinomholo is « inspired by the myths that keep communities together, and the myths that separate them ».
In this performance, Ndinomholo has created an artwork in conversation with a small portion of the expansive Sister Namibia archive. He will be drawing on the ‘Combating of Rape Act, 2000’ as a stimulus for a collective engagement with inherited knowledge from the ongoing feminist revolution.
You are invited to RSVP for the event in order to receive the Zoom link closer to the time. In the online RSVP form you can also indicate if you would be happy to participate in the performance by reading a passage of a predetermined text out-loud to your fellow audience members.
