German Museum for Black Entertainment and Black Music

A new Museum is in town! The “Deutsche Museum für Schwarze Unterhaltung und Black Music” (German Museum for Black Entertainment and Black Music) is Germany’s leading Museum dedicated to Black culture, popular music and History. It boasts a comprehensive archive of records, magazines, autographs, and memorabilia that is presented for the first time within a vibrant space of mediation and discourse. It is accompanied by a diverse programme of events. Through solitary explorations or guided tours, the audience is deeply immersed into a movement that unites stars such as Mola Adebisi, Tic Tac Toe or Sydney Youngblood. In their juxtaposition they gain a new visibility that reveals similarities and differences in their staging, strategies and attributions.
