Akinbode Akinbiyi: Six Songs, Swirling Gracefully in the Taut Air
Hundreds of independent art and museums spaces were forced to close due to the Corona-Crisis. In this series we are celebrating the fantastic artistic events that are right now sitting behind closed doors. This time: Six Songs, Swirling Gracefully in the Taut Air by Akinbode Akinbiyi at Gropius Bau Berlin.
The photography exhibition Six Songs, Swirling Gracefully in the Taut Air brings together works from various long-term series composed by Berlin-based Nigerian photographer Akinbode Akinbiyi, who has captured intimate scenes and communal life in cities such as Lagos, Berlin, Johannesburg, Bamako and Chicago, among many other locations.
