The Collections Management Association Africa & Diaspora

The Collections Management Association Africa & Diaspora (CMAAD) is committed to the growth and development of collections management practitioners operating within the arts, cultural and heritage sectors in Africa and the diaspora.

CMAAD operates as an open source platform encouraging the collaborative, interdisciplinary exchange of knowledge, information and research in best practice methodologies for the continued care and conservation of arts, culture and heritage artefacts.

CMAAD invites collections management professionals, academics, scholars and scientists to submit proposals and/or papers for the launch of the cmaad.org website, 31 August 2018. This invitation is open to all individuals living, studying, apprenticing and/or working in Africa or diaspora dealing with the care, archive, catalogue, conservation and restoration of arts and cultural objects.
