32° East | Ugandan Arts Trust is a centre for the creation and exploration of contemporary Ugandan art. Based in the capital Kampala, the Trust provides an artistic community with studio and exhibition space, an art library, resource centre and communal working space.
32° East focuses on the formation of local and international partnerships. The centre runs an extensive annual program which includes studio artists, professional development intensives, art theory sessions, critical debate and a local, regional and international exchange program with an emphasis on an East African network.
Through encouraging education, innovation and experimentation, 32° East aims to explore, develop and raise the profile of Ugandan visual art to a national and international level.
