EXCLUSIVE TALK:

In the framework of the Salon at Art Basel 2014, C& presented a rare talk with the internationally renowned artist El Anatsui  in conversation with Bisi Silva,  founding director of CCA, Lagos, and Yvette Mutumba, co-initiator of C& and curator at Weltkulturenmuseum   in Frankfurt/Main. This was a palpable highlight for all of El Anatsui’s fans who were present at this special occasion. Watch our C& conversation in which El Anatsui gives insights into his career and ever-evolving artistic practice.

FEATURES:

Sean O’Toole pays tribute to Peter E. Clarke, the internationally acclaimed and respected Cape Town artist who died at the age of 84 on 13th April, 2014.

O’Toole also explores the role of colour in photography.

C& talks to Bonaventure Ndikung, artistic director of SAVVY Contemporary, and Marius Babias, artistic director of n.b.k., who have joined forces to curate the multidisciplinary art project Giving Contours to Shadows, exploring the idea of multiple histories.
