Fuckin’ Globo – 5th Edition

Fuckin’ Globo – 5th Edition

12 artists take over the rooms of Hotel Globo in downtown Luanda and let their imagination fly from 6 to 11 December, 2018.

‘Fuckin’ Globo’ is on its fifth edition and will return to Hotel Globo in downtown Luanda. The initiative features six artists, who take part in this project for the first time. The collective consists of Toy Boy, Lubazandyo Pemba Bula, Joana Taya, Nelo Teixeira, Colectivo Verkron, Maria -Garcia Latedjou, Ery Claver, Daniela Vieitas, Indira Grandê, Kiluanji Kia Henda, Mussunda N”Zombo (AKA Miguel Prince), and Thó Simões.

The temporary exhibition runs from Thursday, 6 December 2018, every day, between 7 pm and 10 pm, with free admission.

Known for eschewing artistic conventions, ‘Fuckin’ Globo’ depends, once again, “on the volunteering spirit of the artists who fund the initiative, thus securing full independence from institutions and sponsors,” which allows them an autonomous approach to cultural, social and political issues. For all these reasons, they can afford to present new aesthetic and conceptual meanings.
