Joburg Fringe 2017

Joburg Fringe 2017

This year in it’s 10th edition Joburg Fringe is a gutsy, independent, streetwise, annual art fair running at the same time as the Joburg Art Fair.

The work on the Joburg Fringe is fresh, original and very affordable. Most of the artists are present and represent themselves. The Joburg Fringe takes no commission on sales so this is the ideal place for first-time buyers or collectors honing their own value judgement who hope to invest in art. We avoid the inhibiting fear-factor of art fair spaces by saying NO to entrance fee exclusivity: thereby growing an all encompassing art audience. This year the Joburg Fringe has found its home for 2017 in Victoria Yards, Lorentzville (the suburb established in 1892, when Jozi was just 6 years old). A year from now, Victoria Yards will be a household name.
