The Cairo Video Festival announces its seventh edition and will showcase an official selection including works by 116 artists from 38 countries, in addition to 24 works that were handpicked by Medrar’s team from Egyptian and international artists.
Highlights of this year include renowned internationally acclaimed artist Marina Abramović’s The Scream, (Serbia, 2014), Iraqi artist Adel Abidin’s Three Love Songs, (Iraq, 2010) and Vincent Borcard’s War (Switzerland, 2014-2015)
The festival’s ongoing exhibition of video will take place between Medrar for Contemporary Art and the Contemporary Image Collective while the screenings will take place every other day in Zawya Cinema in Downtown and the French Institute in Mounira.
