Applications are open for the 2017 edition of the Venice Internship of the National Pavilion United Arab Emirates – la Biennale di Venezia.

The yearly internship program offers emerging arts professionals the opportunity to spend one month in Venice staffing the UAE’s exhibition at la Biennale di Venezia, which runs from May 13th to November 26th, 2017 (vernissage May 10th to 12th).

Selected interns will act as custodians and docents of the National Pavilion, where they will get hands-on experience overseeing the daily operations of the exhibition. The program is open to to Emiratis and long-term residents of the UAE aged 21 and above, with an interest or background in arts and architecture.

The National Pavilion UAE – la Biennale di Venezia is commissioned by the Salama bint Hamdan Al Nahyan Foundation, and supported by the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development. Hammad Nasar has been appointed as the curator for the National Pavilion UAE for the 2017 exhibition.
