The photographer’s Morocco

The photographer’s Morocco
15 January 2018
Closes: 22 November 2018
Since 1860, Morocco has marvelled and inspired many photographers. Landscapes, portraits and architecture are all subjects of their fascination. The exhibition ‘The photographer’s Morocco’ shows how much Morocco has declined modernity from 1860 up until today. Original photographs, albumen prints, glass plates, autochromes, silver salt prints – all these show the rich photographic heritage of Morocco.
An important collection of photographs by Didier Madras, who was Resident-General Lyautey’s secretary from 1921 to 1934 and also the author of several works on Morocco, is shown in this exhibition.
