Villa 76 presents the photographic exhibition En attendant Kemet by Hady Barry from October 6 to November 5, 2022. Opening of Hady Barry’s exhibition: Thursday, October 6, 2022 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Hady Barry is a Guinean visual artist. She grew up in Ivory Coast and Senegal and currently lives in Abidjan. Her work explores the weight of memory, the need for connection and the construction of identity according to a contemplative and introspective approach.
Her works have been published by the British Journal of Photography, exhibited in the United Kingdom by the National Portrait Gallery, and will be presented in the United Arab Emirates by the Sharjah Art Foundation. Hady is a member of communities of photographers such as African Women in Photography, Diversify Photo’ Up Next, and Native Ageney.
