Curatorial Connective

A4 / Scheryn Collection
Deadline: 22 March 2021

Curatorial Connective

The Curatorial Connective is hosted by A4 and the Scheryn Collection. A programme of workshops and exchanges facilitated by cultural practitioners from across the arts ecosystem is designed to connect emerging curators with collectors, and collections, whose primary focus is the conservation of contemporary art from the African continent. Successful applicants can expect to interact with collectors, as well as artists, curators, gallerists, NPOs, writers, arts workers within museums, and independent spaces and places that are a little off-centre, and give insight into the myriad ways of working within the arts ecology.

On admittance to the programme, candidates receive fully-funded scholarships to attend the seven- week investigation, which is held in partnership with arts patrons and collectors. Each place is dependent upon the candidate being able to commit to the full duration of the course as well as attend all compulsory scheduled activities and engagements.

The Connective will take place from Monday 12 April, 2021-Friday 28 May 2021.
