Sadikou Oukpedjo: Dayêguê

Galerie Cécile Fakhoury, in collaboration with the Fondation Donwahi, presents Dayêguê, a solo exhibition by artist Sadikou Oukpedjo. Born in 1975 in Kétao, Togo, Sadikou Oukpedjo lives and works in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.

Driven by a constant and profound questioning of our humanity in light of our animal nature, Sadikou Oukpedjo seeks to understand the violences of History through the lens of West Africa’s past. The invisible and its power, the unknown and the hidden, emerge as a guiding thread, embedded in his exploration of human consciousness—a recurring pursuit throughout the evolution of his artistic research.
