Brazilian choreographer Alice Ripoll and performer Hiltinho Fantástico present PUFF, a solo performance that explores disguise as strategy for transmitting silenced cultures by concealing techniques, messages, and traditions.

Developed through the artists’ long-standing collaboration within the SUAVE and REC dance companies, the work expands a hybrid choreographic language that merges contemporary dance with Brazilian urban forms.

Through illusion, disappearance, and embodied gesture, PUFF approaches concealment not as absence but as survival, proposing the body as a carrier of hidden knowledge that persists despite erasure. The title evokes both a fleeting breath and a vanishing act, suggesting forms of cultural transmission that remain deliberately obscured yet continue to circulate through movement and performance.

The performance takes place on May 13th and 14th. Tickets are available from £18.00.
