PANEL DISCUSSION: queerness & postcoloniality

PANEL DISCUSSION: queerness & postcoloniality

The play Gritty Glamour raises the question of visibility of queer people of color and post-migrants in diverse contexts. The panel discussion takes on the play’s interrogation, aiming at taking the debate on queerness, postcoloniality and neoliberalism in relation to art, politics and performance further. It will address current discussions and theories on the connection of the categories gender and sexuality with status, class or migration as well as the complexity of hetero- and homogeneities within queerness, particularly relating to queer people of color and Black people in a white majority society shaped by heteronormativity. An event by Kultursprünge at Ballhaus Naunynstraße gemeinnützige GmbH. 12. March 2015, 8pm With: Teodora Tabacki and Zairong Xiang and others. Moderation: Kaciano Gadelha discussion in english entrance free http://ballhausnaunynstrasse.de
