Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire14 October 2016 - 13 November 2016

Nú Barreto : FIL ROUGE

LOUISIMONE GUIRANDOU Gallery is opening the art season with « FIL ROUGE », an exhibition by artist Nú Barreto !

Acting both as statement pieces and invitations to question the status quo, Nú Barreto’s art will engage, surprise, seduce you... without ever leaving you indifferent.

From Guinea‐Bissau, currently based in Paris, in his work, Nú Barreto sheds light on those colors and shadows that both shape and undo our society.

For this first exhibition in Abidjan, 20 exclusive pieces, paintings and drawings, will unveil via the red thread (« fil rouge », in French) embodied in those character figures always present in his art.

Red, the artist’s signature statement, offering viewers all at the same time, food for thought, answers and questions to those issues so profoundly humane that define our Contemporary Society... always in emotions.
