Matières sensibles ‘Of materials and things’ – Group Show

Matières sensibles 'Of materials and things' celebrates the diversity of contemporary art from Africa. Bringing together around fifteen artists from across the continent, these works combine ancestral culture and modernism, past and future, for a better understanding of the present.

With Matières sensibles the members of the Exit Frame Collective (Ghana) - curators of the exhibition and artists-in-residence at Condition Publique throughout the Saison Africa2020 - illuminate and contextualize their own creation. With Bianca Baldi (South Africa); Akwasi Afrane Bediako (Ghana); Simnikiwe Buhlungu (South Africa); Rehema S. Chachage (Tanzania); Cheick Diallo (Mali); Latifa Echakhch (Morocco); Hassan Issah (Ghana); Gladys Kalichini (Zambia); Godelive Kabena Kasangati (Democratic Republic of Congo); Evans Mireku Kissi (Steloolive) (Ghana); Tegene Kunbi (Ethiopia); Yara Mekawei (Egypt); Agyeman Ossei (Ghana); Tracy Naa Koshie Thompson (Ghana). laconditionpublique.com
