Marrakech Off the Tracks!

Marrakech Off the Tracks!
8 February 2018
Closes: 25 February 2018
In the framework of the Fair of Contemporary Art 1-54, Little Africa and the collective Des Gosses present “Marrakech Off the Tracks!”. By placing itself as an event outside the walls, this artistic event aims to create an alternative link between artists and collectors, professionals, art lovers and the public who will come to visit the international fair.
The place is a traditional Riad located in the heart of the Medina. “Marrakech Off the Tracks!” will be included in the Off schedule of 1-54 Marrakech as well as in that of the city.
“Marrakech Off the Tracks” is conceived as an ephemeral artist nursery in which a selection of artists from the African continent and its diaspora show their work. The event values the spirit of the collective. The principle of this action is to present a place of life of artists; the participating artists and the organizers work together to create within the space a convivial artistic universe in which the works of all are highlighted. It is about creating a place of exchange, in which artists create, exchange, perform, present, receive in the manner of a shared workshop where everyone gets involved: the event will thus be the theater of a continuous performance that the public will be invited to discover.
